$1200 Gaming PC Build: opinions?

Hi, my friend wants a $1200 Gaming PC. Performance and bang-for-the-buck come first, but looks are also important to him with this build. He's interested in maxing out games in 1080p. My question is: do you think this hits a nice balance? The s340 is certainly a nice case for cable management, so no worries there, but I think the price could be brought down with a cheaper motherboard. What are your opinions?

Get a cheaper motherboard, that's a high-end overclocking board, no need to spend that much on a motherboard when you can't overclock the processor.

Everything else is totally fine.

That seems like a little too much wattage better to have higher efficiency unless you plan to do power hungry upgrades.

Yep, that's what I thought. What's a good b85 board that has 6 usb ports?

Aim for a K-series Core i5 processor so that there will be the potential for overclocking later, that's the main reason you buy a Z97 motherboard.

Otherwise looking pretty good, Corsair make some very nice quality cases so it might be worth looking into those.

There's the MSI B85 and the Asus B85M G R2.0

Get a B85/H81/H97 motherboard, and CHANGE THE PSU. CX PSUs cut off at about 35C, which is easy to hit inside a case with a power hungry CPU and GPU?

Which PSU should I get? The EVGA Bronze seems like a natural , but I am not a huge fan of the cables for looks

if you are planning to upgrade to unlock then the motherboard is fine. nice combo btw 390 is a good card.

and btw the s340 window side panel scratches a little bit too easy(easier than a few case that i tried with my finger nail myself) so be careful with that.

You don't. They violate their own TOS because they think you're messing with your own comment karma...(?)
