I went with the 7850k/68 chipset for me and 7870l/88chipset for daughter.

Lower price at first.

Gpu's are advancing faster then cpu's so when I am ready to upgrade to a dgpu AMD will be on the r9 4xx series.

Frankly I am happy with my 7850k right now....And my cheapo 68 mb has sata3 and PCIE3 support and latest usb but I don't care about usb at all.

Also I got a dirt cheap combo deal so allot depends on what's on sale in your country.

Hope this helps
