Graphic cards doesn't allow my pc to show on monitor

mod960

I just built a pc and whenever I run it there is no video on my monitor when I have my graphic cards installed

I checked that they weren't doa and they are not. There led's light up when I turn on the machine. When I turn on my machine without my graphic cards there is video on my screen. I've tried to download the driver but when I run it it says can't detect hardware. So I have to install my driver when my gpus are installed but I can't because of the no screen. And also when they are installed the monitor says no signal detected and I have tried every port.

Specs:

Dual gtx 970

Mai z97a gaming7

Intel core i7 4790k

16gb black hyperfury x

Tp-link n9000
