yeah that is good.  I know people that get less than 2MB/s.

like a moth ago i use to get like 1/1.4 max and now that i have switched max i get is like 6.5, average lets say around 5mb/s. 

So 12 is amazing and I WANT!!!

0.98 max. I've got a 8Mbps connection.

I got a 35 mb/s fiber connection, so steam usually downloads around 4 MB/s.

 

Doubt I'll get anywhere near that once I'm at uni, but oh well...

maxing it on 14MB/s on a 100mbps connection.

 

Just so you guys know you can change the download location to get better speeds :)

That means you have 100Mbps internet which is WAY above the average in the US and most of the world so yeah thats a good speed 

 

Quick Google shows that the us average is 11.1Mbps  which would only be 1.4MBs

30 mb/s usually. I have 280 mbit fiber.

no but mb and mbits are. 8 mbits = 1 mbs. 280 mbits / 8 = 35 mbs. steam gets only about 30

i get 12 as well. But I hear the max is usually around 30, no matter your internet speed.

no but mb and mbits are. 8 mbits = 1 mbs. 280 mbits / 8 = 35 mbs. steam gets only about 30

hes right MB = mega bytes and Mb = mega bits

I get around 420 kbs max but it's usually 300 kbs and I pay £35 for the internet :/
