~1000$ Build, Help ?! :D

Hello guys,

Today I am asking for this beautiful community help.

Firstly I will like to start off by saying that I am Romanian and I apologize for the future mistakes I will be making in English.

I am trying to build myself a strong desktop that will least me for around 4 5 years ?!

I don't know that much about building computers, I mean... i can build myself a computer within 1000$ but I will probably get something that doesn't fit in.

So I am asking for your help... basically there is a list for what I am into :

I am not that much into overclocking.

I would like to play on 1080p MAX. NOT 4k.
I would love to run these games on medium/high : Counter Strike Global Offensive(with no microlags etc...), Rust reloaded, GTA V (mdeium/high) and DayZ / H1z1 !!
I don't need a monitor(I am using a 60hz ... looking to upgrade to a 144hz)... But any tips on the monitors wold be highly appreciated.

I don't need any accessories like keyboard mouses etc... .

My build at the moment (Not that happy with it...) (built in ~2011)

● Kingston 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM HyperX Blu

● Sirtec 500W, ATX 2.3, PFC active
● Gigabyte H55M-UD2H, socket 1156
● HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB, 7200rpm, 32MB, SATA II
● Intel® CoreTM i7-880 @ 3.06GHz, Socket 1156, Box
● Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660, 2048MB GDDR5, 192bit, N660WF2

!! Thanks guys !!

"How about this, An AMD card can and will make it last longer, but the 970 is still  a good choice" It is but when it comes to helping people fanboying is not good. An R9 390 would be better.

Add that RAM to this build make it 8GB.

You can use the Stock cooler if you want. But HyperX 212 evo is best replacement Stock Cooler.

Edit:

Drive capacity on SSD is your choice.

Also added another 1TB here, If you want get it, otherwise don't.

Explain me the reason for 16GB RAM please.

Have you noticed that games start to use whatever RAM is available? Cause I sure have, GTA V is a RAM whore

and anyone who plays GTA will tell you the same thing, As to the GPU option, I chose the 970 because

The 390 would be overkill, 390 is for 4k lower/medium settings and the 390x is for medium/max. And at what point was I fanboying for choosing a Nvidia GPU?

I clearly stated that

Agree on that RAM choice.

I didn't say that you're fanboying at all.

An R9 390 is similar price or cheaper price than a 970, and performs better than a 970.

Why not get that?

No need to go higher on the CPU, there's already 16 gigs, a reliable mobo and PSU, so why not a 970, Its a viable choice for maxing 1080p, if you really want an AMD GPU, go for it, I mean, I typically just put whatever I have left over price wise and a 970 came to mind. It doesn't change the fact that both a 970 and a 390 will last for many years. But the 390 will last longer, maybe 6-7 years at most cause AMD doesn't release new GPU's every few years

I didn't say anything about go higher on CPU.

Are you sleepy or something?

I'd still say R9 390 over 970.

no.no, theres no reason to upgrade any of the parts, The CPU's perfect, mobo, ram and everything else, you can go any way I personally just put the 970 in there ...

750W should be just enough for 2x 390.
