Posted August 28, 2015 depends how much you are willing to spend, and which you like the look of. but if you do get a high-end noctua/cryorig/bequiet air cooler, or the H100i GTX then definitely consider overclocking. Posted August 28, 2015 If you're not gonna OC then go for a noctua. I do OC and noctua is good enough for me. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z3zYBm
Posted August 28, 2015 Get one of those Air coolers if you're not doing much of an Overclock (Just spray paint the Noctua fans or something, or just wait for the LTT themed fans) or get the H100i GTX if you're doing a serious overclock Hey everyone! Posted August 28, 2015 But wont the Noctua hang on the cpu and ruin it over time? the cooler isn't actually attached to the CPU it's attached and held in place by the motherboard. so it's perfectly safe. otherwise people wouldn't get the monstrous dual-tower coolers. Posted August 28, 2015 212 evo is the King of budget cooler. Noctuas are King of all air coolers imo. DARK ROCK PRO 3 by bequiet is also similar to Noctuas in performances. I'd select NZXT Kraken X61 instead of H100i GTX. Posted August 28, 2015 If youre not gonna overclock there is no need to spend so much cash on a cooler. The 212 evo should be inaudible on stock clock and also give you the possibility to get around 4,5 later on.
