A quick question about modmics

Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

I don't know if my ModMic is unidirectional or omnidirectional (I ordered uni). There seem to be holes on both sides of the mic with the pop filter off and the noise cancellation isn't great. Should I be worried, or is this a common thing?

Thanks for taking your time to read.

the ports in the back are designed to cancel out noises coming from the rear, since the air pressure will push against the mic diagram and cancel out the sounds from the sound wave

the noise cancellation will never be perfect, and it still has a wide field infront of the mic to pick up sounds , try turning down the gain if you can

you can read more about the patterns here
