Windows 8.1 updates failing.

After trying to update to windows 10 and failing multiple times i read that i should have my windows 8.1 completely up to date only problem is i download them, i install them and when my PC is restarting they fail and they revert the updates. After trying continuously i  have managed to get almost all of them installed apart from 2 important updates and 7 optional updates. I have ran Windows Update Diagnostic each time after the update fails. But looking at windows website and there trouble shooting it is hopeless. Any ideas on how i can update it successfully. thanks :)

Make sure you are running a cleaner computer.

Like if you have any viruses and malware, those will block the updates.

You can download the ISO direct from the Microsoft Website using their Installer Media Creation tool.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Download the respective ISO as If you happen to have Windows 8.1 Non Pro version, Download Windows 10 Home and whatever the architecture you have, It may be

32 bit or 64 bit. And also If the OS came with your computer, ie OEM, They most probably installed Windows 8.1 Single Language, So there is an option for that too!

To check that, Go to My Computer-->Right Click-->Properties, Under Windows edition, you can see what your system has.

After downloading the correct ISO, burn it to a DVD or copy the ISO contents to a USB drive, You can use Setup.exe to upgrade to Windows 10.

Post back if you have any doubts or facing any problems!

It stops at 37% when you try to upgrade OS via Windows Update or ISO?

After trying to update to windows 10 and failing multiple times....

And how long takes this- 2-3 days of "trying"? Stop trying- definitely you have a problem with current 8.1 installation...

Why don't you just make a fresh install of 8.1 and than, on clean system install all needed updates... It's not a bad idea to check for bad sectors on HDD... And than, after installing all updates on 8.1 update to 10...

English is not my maternal language, so don't mind my mistakes...
