You mean like an extention cord? Or internal cable extentions?

It's OK, unless you're running too much high consumption devices off of one outlet. That can cause your breakers to reset.

Is it a good idea to use an extension cable when powering your pc?

 

As long as the cord isn't a thin piece of twine yes it's safe, just make sure your not over loading it or having it run too far.
