RAM usage 98%

Skull_Zockt

Hello,

I have 16GB of RAM installed, and when I was watching YouTube Videos everything started to lag. I started the Task Manager and saw that my RAM usage is 97-100%.

I looked for a task, that uses so much RAM, but I didn't found one.

I am running Win10.

Could this be a virus?

Thanks,

Gerald

That dosen't usually use a lot, you'd have to have like 50 tabs with flash running in them to actually get anywhere near that kind of mem consumption.

How big is the "SYSTEM" process? When you load stuff, the other unused stuff gets thrown in SYSTEM - NEW W10 feature....cough cough (feature lol)

W10 has it MUCH MUCH more aggressive than previous OS's.

Disable the superfetch service, and it stops.

I've seen this (Win10 Memory Leak) 5 times now this week, 5 times Disabling Superfetch fixed it.

Type services.msc into windows, find superfetch, stop the service with the button, and disable it with the drop down list.

Reboot.

Use system as you normally would, check for these issues, if I'm right, their gone.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Go into task manager, go into performance tab, go into performance monitor.

You can look at all things writing to ram, see if anything stands out.
