Which headet do you recommend buying for about $250?

I say go with the AKG K612 Pros and get a mod mic. Well, thats just my recommendation. If you like bass, then the DT990 will do the trick.

K612 while good, can sound bass anemic for tons of people. I would recommend something like phillips SHP-9500 with v-moda boom mic. Besides, you wont be able to run K612 on PS4's controller

 

 

I ran my K612 through my PS4 controller. Its not that it can't be driven, its just that by the time you're halfway to your comfortable volume, distortion happens. That said, I have rather sensitive ears and in a quiet room and I'm fine with the volume.

I will mainly use it for PC gaming.

You'll need an amp most likely if you want to use K612. It gets barely loud enough with K7xx, another AKG headphone that's more sensitive than K612. Consider HD280 Pro
