$150 Speakers

airking95

Hey guys,

Right now I am looking for speakers for about $150, they're for my PC. I am debating between Z623s and the M-Audio AV40 V2, both I can get around $120. Which one is better? Also are there any other ones you guys can recommend for around the same price?

Thanks

Alright, I don't know much about speakers but my only concern is that would onboard audio be enough to power them. Also, I have a Sony subwoofer at home, is it possible to connect that to the AV40s as well?

They are powered, so onboard is fine.

You will not be able to conect a sub easily, as they have no sub out,

There are other ways to conect a sub, thoes I do not know.

Split the audio coming out of the computer, run the speakers full range and set the sub crossover based on where the speaker roll-off starts. Control volume on the PC or via a passive preamp like Schiit SYS.

Another one to consider is the swan m10, and remove the logitech speakers out of the equation. You should do your own reading and if possible hear them in person, thats the best way to get an answer.

I would say yes.

Bigger woofers, higher watage. and a good brand
