Hey hey!

 

Here is mine try on doing a cinematic video of the assembly of a friend PC to replace him MacBook at home.

 

 

Is not a step by step tutorial, but you can see everything happening. Hope you like it!

It looks good, but it could do with some of the shots being smother if you used a steady cam or a mount for the camera. You could also try using warp stabilizer to smooth things out in post.

Two things I gathered from this:

 

1. Your friend spent more on the motherboard than he did the case.

2. That seems like a lot of thermal paste and it's off-center.

We only had shoulder rig and things were on a table. Mine friend say that too, if he knows the table was low he had bring monopod. The lens was also full manual one, but I liked the final result.

 use premiere and export at 1080p. Do you think warp stabilizer will improve it a lot without expand mine edit time for too long?

1. I'd offer him the case and cooler ;) for him the R2 was perfect as he can adjust fan speed on the spot and is very silent system.

2. That is true, paste was being hard to come out and was not able to do the "pea" trick and instead had to make a X and spread it. But I cut a small portion of the video, in the end I'd take out the excess of thermal paste.

Just keeping this here as a It looks good, but it could do with some of the shots being smother if you used a steady cam or a mount for the camera. You could also try using warp stabilizer to smooth things out in post.

 

I think the hand held approach makes the view seem like they are involved, obviously it needs to be smooth and controlled shake but I think a perfectly steady shot would make it seem sterile, boring and tutorial like IMO

I agree, but this looks like it was hand held with little or no stabilizing gear such as a steady cam, gimbal, shoulder rig, etc. I think that some sort physical or post processing stabilization, not to the extreme of a stationary rig would improve this.
