Ax1200i or antec 1000 hcp platinium?

Hello all hope you are doing well!

I am currently planing on building my new gaming/overclocking pc and I am a little unsure whether purchasing a Corsair Ax1200i or an antec 1000 hcp platinium.

My build is going to be this way:

CPU:I7-6700k @ 4.8 (hopefully)

MOBO: Msi z170 gaming m7 or gaming m9

GPU: HD7970(r9 280x) crossfire (maxed OC)

RAM:32 Gb G.skill ripjaws 4 3000 DDR4 (maxed OC)

SSD: samsung sm 951 256gb

HDD: SEAGATE barracuda 3TB (7200rpm)

PSU: CORSAIR Ax1200i or ANTEC 1000 HCP platinium

WATERCOOLING: fully watercooled ekwb build

Please note That I am not planing on getting a 3rd Gpu in the future, i just would like to OC all my components at the highest clock I can get.

I thank you all in advance for reading or replying to me and I wish you all a very Nice day ;)

That is one unbalanced build for gaming.

No reason to get a 1000w PSU for that. EVGAs Supernova G2 750W will be more than enough for all that.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

Thanks a lot all of you for your Answers!

The majority of you told me to take a 750-860w psu so I will listen to you guys and save some money by taking a 860w.

@lee32uk: why do you think this build is unbalanced for gaming? Is it due to the Gpu's? (I already own these 2 cards and dont want to buy a New gpu since Pascal architecture will be release)

Thanks again all of you for your answers I washq really Pleased.

Good day to all of you!

Good day to all of you!

You had a very expensive/overpowered psu in both the AX1200i and Antec. The EVGA mentioned above would be better.

For gaming you don't need anywhere near 32GB Ram. That is workstation territory. If you want a bit of extra Ram then go with 16GB.

The Samsung SM951 is a fast SSD but it is also expensive compared to the 850 EVO or similar.

I also think it would be a bit of a waste of money to watercool the R9 380X cards (If that is what you are planning). I would just concentrate on cooling the cpu.

You might want to look at X99 if you are going for an i7. The prices are pretty similar but you get a better cpu in the 5820K. The Gigabyte SOC Champion is a very good overclocking board.
