SSD In Nvidia Shield?

If you search on the shield forums you will see that you can not change the drive in the system. Lots have tried and failed it does not use the standard SATA connection. I have the 16 Gig model with an external drive attached. Just giving a heads up.
Thank you so much, good thing that I have some extra SATA-USB adapters.
