Need a Mini ITX Case [HELP]

I would like to start this post off by saying hello. This is my first post here. Be gentle. Yes...I did buy an Alienware...

I bought a Alienware X51 R2 about 7 months back.....I didn't think that I would upgrade it....but now I want to. I only really have 1 limitation, the platform that the PC will be standing on is only 13.5 inches thick. I want to move all of the components from the X51 R2 case into this new case and then put a new graphics card in the new case at a later date. A new power supply will be needed also. The only PC case I can find at the moment that I like the look of is the Prodigy M (Green / Artic White) I'm setting my case price limit to £150.

I look forward to reading your suggestions :D

Thanks

In not sure that you can. A lot of OEM's (dell especially) dont use 100% standard mobo sizes so you usually cannot transplant them into a new case. That being said, this may not be true for the alienware.

Can you not stand the alienware up vertically and then it should fit on a 13.5" wide pedestal?

When in doubt, re-format.

If you still want a slim type of tower like your previous case with better compatibility for more graphics cards, check out these Silverstone cases

Edit: Since you'll be needing a new PSU anyway, these cases take an SFX power supply.

Did a little research and determined the model on OP's PC is the  "Alienware 0PGRP5", judging by pictures of system interior and the board itself, it looks like a standard itx one.

It is currently standing up vertically. The issue I am seeing is that in order to put a better GFX card in this case I will need to take the fans that are located at the front of the case out. I do not really want to do this and run the risk of overheating. It might not seem practical but I want a new case with the same motherboard and CPU but be able to upgrade the GFX card and potentially fit an SSD into the new case as there are no spare bays in the X51 R2 for more storage drives.

Thanks
