InWin Q2000 Main Rig - REBUILD LOG (Plus bonus build by Poohy14)

So I decided I should really re-build/redo my main rig. To make things short I am expecting a new motherboard later this evening and in doing so I am going to re-build the entire system from bottom up, not all new parts mind you :)

Here is a sexy picture of the case (I did not take it)

iApHesX.jpg

and here is a picture of the system in its current state.

lYIkJuQ.jpg

I will update this thread once the motherboard arrives and we shall go from there :D

Note: This is not anything special but more of a simple/normal build log of my main system that was kind of needed....

I guess I just got lucky in how I obtained it if I think about it, wish it had better air flow and cable management though :P

I will be updating my PC ad well. Just bought a new mobo from Intel LGA1155 - DZ77RE-75k

tL53mSr.jpg

I am upgrading from the MSI Z77A-G43. Only reason why I'm upgrading is because this build will be my new server eventually so I need more Sata ports and this can do SLI so it will last me while for a main rig till I build be a new main at the end of the year. I shall post pictures when I get the mobo and do the swap and add another GTX 670 to it.

Update:  Got my Intel board, had multiple problems with it so I bought another one. Had a few problems with that and updated the mobo now it seems to be fine. Also got my second GTX 670. Will post pictures soon.

Pictures of the build process (Dont mind the crappy potato camera from my phone, I shall take better glamour shots later):

does that help with airflow and cablemanagement?

Well just update my rig with some picture now so you should be able to see them in my first post. Also, I will be buying me a 1TB SSD in the system for my new Steam drive and will buy some more Noctua fans in the coming week. Bought my a new EVGA SLi Bridge today instead of using the Stock Intel bridge. Also working on building my new server as well, might have a build log for that too. Not sure yet.

i will buy that case from you. *~* if not steal it form you. *~*

i NEED an INWIN q2000.

mind sending me every one of the photos you've taken of it? :3

might become my wallpaper. x'D

IMHO i probably would not mod it too terribly much, i wouldnt even make bigger fan mounts, i'd just add more of the same size, as many as i can keeping things tidy if i can.

you're better off with two 80mm 30CFM than one 120mm 50CFM. ;) (plus you have more modular control that way. )

Haha I thought I was the only one who thought the case was awesome :P Anyways ill have to get some pictures of what I ended up doing with the air flow along with cable management :) Might even PhotoShop some backgrounds in like the first market photo.
