Posted August 5, 2015 Recently my street got connected to NBN and we currently still with our current provider "TPG" with $69 plans... (don't laugh) it current called Tier 1 which has 12mpbs download speed and 1 mpbs upload speed which is speed i get from ADSL 2+ which i get around ~6mbps and ~0.8mpbs and at times it would drop down to 5mpbs and 0.2mpbs. My Internet Speed: Question 1. Because i found a cheaper plan which has Tier 2 speed for same price but it dosent allow me to upgrade to 50mbps/10mpbs down the track. Do you think 25mpbs would be enough for 4-6 user which some are streaming TV SHOWS/Gaming/Video Skype call etc. Like a average house usage. Would 25mpbs speed be fast enough. Because currently have good plan for local calls but i rarely see family members using home phone which i think Pay As You Go Phone would be good. Most of them uses Whatapps to contacts friend and family overseas and in state. This is plan i thinking of switching to? [https://ausbbs.com.au/NBN_UNI-V_Phone_Bundles] 2. What resolution could i stream gameplay at 60FPS or is that a too high a standard. Summary: Should i change plan to new provider which has faster speed but no umlimted local calls etc also have to sign contact unlike current already pass contact date like a year back.
