$1500 Budget Workstation

Ventus07

Hi there,

I'm new to the forum but I've been watching trch tips for a long time now. Anyway, the reason why I signed is because I need help in terms of deciding with the parts or what suggestions you guys have for a $1500 Budget Workstation Build. I got a budget for either a Server or workstation so I want to see my options for a workstation. We need this rig for Video Editing, Picture Editing, some 3D and Streaming. Storage is also important on this build because if we go to the workstation route I still to have plenty of storage for it to work as mini server if that's possible. I really need your opinion or what parts should I get. I know 1500 is not that much but we're a non-profit organization so I appreciate all of the suggestions and builds.

P.S. peripherals are not included on the budget so the 1500 are all for the rig.

TIA!

Here's a good system for video editing and other production tasks

I put in 2 4tb red drives. You may want something different and change that.

The gpu is in a strage spot these days. You could get a k4000 if you need a quadro or go 290 if you want open cl, but i recommend nvidia for video editing.

AMD FirPro W7000 is better than the Nvidia Quadro K4000 in programs like SolidWorks

But doesn't have cuda that is very nice for after effects and many ray tracing programs.

Yea well they didn't name any specific program's, but you are also right. Everything depends on the software they are going to use
