Do I need a third party cooler?

So I am completely new to building pcs and I am planning to have a Pentium anniversary edition in my first build coupled with an ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti and i was going to overclock the cpu to about 4.6-4.7 GHz. so I was wondering if the stock cooler would be enough or if i would have to buy a third party cooler. Help would be  much appreciated.

You'd definitely need an aftermarket cooler to achieve that high of an overclock...

Yeah absolutely

With a cheap 212 evo you might get 4.5 ghz, above that im not sure. Haswell ramps temperatures quickly pass that

Yes if you want to OC it that high you will definitely need a better cooler.

for that OC - yes definetly. and even if you wouldnt OC I'd still get an aftermarket one just for noise and temps.

many go for the 212 EVO as it is a cheap aircooler with some potential for OC. I personally dont agree but that is my personal opinion.

I prefer any cooler from Noctua or the bequiet DarkRock.

If you want to watercool it I'd suggest an AiO like the Corsair H80i or NZXT Kraken X41 (ofc H105 and Kraken X61 are also options but rather overkill here).

Do you think an arctic freezer 7 pro rev 2 would suffice if i tried for 4.5?
