Is there a reason why reltek sounds like shit?

I have a dolby 7.1 usb soundcard for my g430 and it sounds great

but when I plug my Crossfades or Any headphones in general They are just staticy and horrible quality sound

if I increase the volume it litterley just sounds like muffled bass and static

I've tried the MOBO ports and the case's ports and they sound the same

yes it works. try it, you'll see your audio quality will improve by 150%, (if you have a decent pair of headphones/speakers) you'll notice.

Sadly I can confirm It's the board, my speakers sounded great on my horrible pc...they sound horrible on my okay pc because driver issues....and the only way I can get around it is with a driver update that turns off overclocking on my particular board

ok so I think the problem is there is more than one audio driver onboard. there is Realtek and the sound blaster cinema 2 which i cant open

The board has alc1150 which shouldn't be as bad as the op described.

There is the "audio boost" thing on the board that's from Creative.
