Questions About CPU Upgrade

Hi,

I am at the moment looking to upgrade my current CPU which is a : AMD A-10 6700 3.7GHz; there are 2 CPU's I have been looking at the i5-4690k and the i7-4770k I was just wondering since they are both pretty good CPU's what a good decently cheap motherboard would to go with this and for gaming. Also which would be better I don't have any interest in running more then 1 screen and I was wondering if the i5 would be a cheaper bet to go with. I am looking for better performance on some games that are more CPU based then others. I am looking to buy the witcher 3 and since i am a FPS freak I want it to run well 40+ fps before I play it. Also would you be able to tell me if my current specs are all compatible with it I mainly mean PSU if I'll have enough wattage for it I have a corsair CS650M. 

 

My other specs if its relevant:

Graphics: R9 270x 2gb version

Ram: 12gb (not 100% sure speed however windows 8 task manager clocks it at 3300mhz probably wrong)

CPU: AMD A-10 6700 3.7GHz 

CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO

PSU: CS650M

HDD: 1TB

Question: what is your budget on motherboard?

Im not sure exactly the budget probably like 120$ if i can keep it under that and have it work for it with the 1150 socket and yes i probably will overclock once i get all this and safely know how to do it havn't really messed around with it much from what I know its not that hard.

yes the i5  would be the better choice for your current build the i7's add a little more for people who are doing developing and heavy work loads. The i5 is the perfect CPU for games.

You can get a Athlon X4 760K(FM2) or 860K(FM2+) unless you want to swap the motherboard.
