Looking for 34" Ultrawide Display $1000 budget

I am looking to purchase a an ultrawide 34 inch monitor for my workstation setup and for gaming on the side. i'm right now looking at the LG 34UC87C http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y09G6JG/?tag=pcpapi-20 the price has been fluctuating but it gets to $900 and this is the optimal price I want to spend but $1000 is the max I'd spend. If I am spending this much money I don't feel like it is worth it unless i'm getting more than a 60hz refresh rate on the monitor. I'd like to be able to enjoy games as well as work and productivity.

So I have been hearing things about new monitors from Acer and stuff that have these higher refresh rate but are $200-300 more expensive than my current option. I hear news about different monitors releasing but I'm going to need to make a purchase in about a month. If anyone has any better suggestions i'd like to see what they are. Thanks!

 

TL;DR

Are there any 34" ultrawide curved monitors out there that are 1440p with >60hz for under $1000? Or should I wait another month to see if any new ones to come out in that price range?

Then wait for a discount or price drop.

 

Because it would be really dumb to waste 1000$ and NOT GET a 75+hz freesync/gsync 3440x1440. Especially now, considering that once you get the 100hz gsync version - you will have the best in slot monitor for the next 5 years at least.
