Hi I'm new to pc building and have a pretty tight budget. Just looking for thoughts and ideas about which parts I should swap out and what would work well together.

If you want a sexy and very durable case with great quality at a cheap price, get the nzxt s340. I got it for my build and I've noticed no problems and it's just the right size. It's not huge and it has great air flow and looks very nice with led strips. Usually u can buy some satochi leds on amazon for around 25 bucks and it makes a huge difference if you are a fashionista and want to impress people with the sexiness level of your build.

If you go for a i3 - within 1-2 year(s)

If you go for a i5 - you would need a new graphics card within 1 year, CPU would be good to go for 3-4 years at most.

GTX 960, R9 370, R9 380 - these GPUs will need upgrade within december 2016. by then they will be too slow

R9 390, R9 390X, GTX 970 - these GPUs will last until late 2017, early 2018 before they would be dragging their feet.

R9 Fury, R9 Fury X, GTX 980 (OC), GTX 980Ti - These GPUs will last atleast 3+ years before they cannot perform at 1080p.

This tells me that the build will only need 253 watt of power, should I trust this or is it misleading?

the build will require around 330w. a 300-350w psu is sufficient

Can you get a B85 or H81 mobo cheaper where you are?  They are about 10-20 cheaper than the H97 over here and I doubt you will need the extra features of the H97.

Otherwise that's a good starting point and should let you enjoy most games.

Is getting a 500 watt psu better than getting a 350 watt psu for future proofing?
