Please vote for split screen on win 10 minecraft.

Hey, so I was under the impression that the new minecraft would have split screen support on win 10 as standard, this is not the case though.
I put the suggestion in on the feedback page which has 47 votes.
Would be nice if it could get some more.

The game already has full controller support so not sure why it wasn't included.

In my opinion, Split screen is confusing. PC monitor is just too small, it fits if your monitor is a Smart TV or TV, but my 22"? nah i'd like to stay merged(Little Block Theater)

You can still use your PC on something other than a small monitor, media PC's are a thing. I occasionally take my PC downstairs and play something like rocket league and it's a blast. Just because you wont use it doesn't mean some else will.

theres a mod for this that works great. even use it with modded minecraft ALL THE TIME.

 

 

when I had my dual 7970 rig, I ran 5 players off one PC. was pretty bad ass.

its not at all hard to hook a pc up to a TV hell im typing this on a 55" tv

You can still use your PC on something other than a small monitor, media PC's are a thing. I occasionally take my PC downstairs and play something like rocket league and it's a blast. Just because you wont use it doesn't mean some else will.

Me and my friends always played split screen on consoles, we played on 18 inch portable tvs up to 42 inch tvs.

The experience was great on them all, as frankly it was about the company and playing together and having laughs.

I play rocket league split screen with the Mrs and the kids on my 24" monitor and it is perfectly fine.

I also play mario kart wii 4 player split screen on dolphin emulator which again is perfectly fine.

It's not like I'm requesting it in csgo where it's super competitive. I'm requesting it in a game that is best played with friends casually.

Are you kidding me? Why buy a console? should the so called master race not have as many features as it can possibly have? especially features that consoles get as standard.

I didn't move from console, spend over £1000 on my rig to be told to go back to console because I want a simple feature included in a game.

I agree. My PC monitor is 28". That's big enough for split screen to be useful. I also stream to a HTPC in the living room connected to a 42" TV. That's also big enough for split screen to be useful.

 

I really hate how people jump in the idea that features that some people want but aren't useful to them personally shouldn't exist for anyone. As if people would be forcing them to use it.

How would they even do split screen MC on PC if it's only 1 single player per Mojang account or MC launcher they're not gonna allow multiple players on a single account or split screens even if it's just offline because it would take a lot of effort to do and it's not worth it. Just play the console why would they have split screen for PC?

I used the mod on the java version. But honestly I was very hopeful for the win 10 version as it supported controllers right off the bat.

Plus this version will be able to play with users on android and ios soon, so the potential is off the chart.

This is the win 10 version which is pocket edition, it supports controllers as standard.

It would be pretty simple to code it in to the pocket edition, lock the feature for mobile users and unlock it for pc users.

If its pocket edition it comes from the phone right? Assuming it is... No one wants to play split screen on a 5.3" Display

If you want to lock the feautre for mobile users, might as well make a desktop version on W10

The pocket edition is now also the windows 10 edition, but the windows 10 edition will also receive exclusive pc features and mobile users wont.

For example fov options, rebindable keys etc.

All i'm asking for is that the pc version also gets split screen support. No one said I want split screen on the mobile version.

I wasn't aware split-screen support on PC was ever a "standard," including in games with full controller support. But sure, I'm on board. I'll never complain about getting more options.

@roshy Ok look, there are three versions of minecraft, the java version (original) Pocket edition (mobile) windows 10 edition (based off pocket edition)

The windows 10 and mobile pocket edition are based off of the same version but are the same.

windows 10 users will have cross play with mobile users.

windows 10 will receive exclusive pc features whilst still being able to play with mobile users.

There are two different versions in the store, the mobile version and the windows 10 version. I'm not asking for a feature in the mobile version but rather the windows 10 version.
