The R5 MSRP is higher since it includes drive cages and some other things but yea I just looked up pcpartpicker's price history and it has never dipped down below it's $99.99 MSRP. Must be such a popular case that people will buy it regardless.

I just bought one and it's great. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new mid sized case.

Windowed cases are the devil, they force you to actually make the inside look good. With my case I never have to look at the rats nest of cables.

Man I just wish it had top dust filters. I'm not sure a single back 140mm exhaust is enough for air cooling.

It also comes with a front 140mm intake.

It also comes with a front 140mm intake.

But with only a single exit point I wonder how air flow is. I love that I can put three 140mm intakes into it and there are no 3.5 inch nor 5.25 inch drive cages in the way. I'll probably still buy it and just live with the dust coming in through the top since my current case (Antec GX500) has unfiltered top exhaust and doesn't let of a ton of dust in. But it definitely lets some in. I wish Fractal made an optional fan filter you could buy for it, but I emailed them a week ago about it and have heard absolutely zero in response.

It just seems like such a perfectly designed case otherwise.

1. Room for three 140 mm front intakes and a bottom intake too

2. Plenty of room for a huge front push pull radiator

3. Tons of cable management room

4. A great hard drive mounting solution in back since there usually isn't much of a need to put more than 2-3 hard drives in, then back mounted SSDs.

5. A great looking huge window

I just find the top soundproof covers a little puzzling. If you want a quiet case Fractal has already made something almost perfect for that: the Define R5. The Define S seems like it's geared more towards people looking for performance first and foremost. If you want a quiet case the Define S probably isn't a great choice since it doesn't have that front door that cuts out so much of the sound from the Define R5.

Sabertooth. You can see it on the Mobo heatsink, albeit fuzzy

It's a sabertooth z87. I really like the look of the thermal armor on the tuf series motherboards.

It looks a lot better in person. The dim lighting makes it hard to take a good picture.
