DirectX and Motherboards.

Dumb question, if the web page with the info on my MOBO describes it as having support for Dx9, that means putting a Dx11/Dx12 compatible GPU on it would just end up with the GPU being on a bottleneck, right?

I think it means your integrated graphics has DX9 support. This has nothing to do with a dedicated GPU though. It will support the highest that it can to the extent of hardware and OS.

I dont know how a mobo would have support for dx if it didnt have a integrated gpu.

But if it has it will be disabled when putting in a dedicated gpu

The specs sheet lists "Direct X: 10"

So all of you are positive that sticking a modern GPU onto this thing would not be an issue?

Cuz if that's the case that would be really good.
