Best Cheap 2.0 Speakers?

I need some cheap 2.0 preferably black speakers. They need to have decent sound quality, but nothing amazing. Max budget is £50, although the less the merrier!

Cyber Acoustics make some great 2.0 speakers, as well as 2.1. They'll never go over $39.99

Should I go for 2.0 or 2.1? What am I missing out on by getting only 2.0?

2.1 contains two base speakers and a subwoofer. 2.0 only contains the two speakers. 2.1 is useful if you want a bass tone, and it generally sounds much better than 2.0.

Where would you put the subwoofer? Like, you put the speakers either side of you, but does the subwoofer go in front or where?

Everybody is obviously entitled to their own opinion. But I like 2.1 because the bass is just so much more recognizable, and it sounds clearer. The subwoofer generally goes either under your desk or behind your monitor.

One last thing, if I went with 2.0, would the Logitech Z130 set be okay?

I have had good experience with the Logitech Z200.

 

Worth the little bit extra over the Z150s in my opinion.
