My commputer is a light sleeper

I recently got a Zowie FK1 and whenever I put my computer to sleep it wakes up to the slightest movement of the mouse. This didn't happen with my old mouse unless I clicked the mouse. How do I fix this? The Zowie doesn't come with any software.

Go to Device Manager and open up the settings for your mouse. Go to the "Power Management" tab and turn off the setting "Allow this device to wake the computer". This way your mouse won't wake up your computer at all.

 

If that doesn't work you can manually turn it off by opening up a command line and typing

 

1. "powercfg -devicequery wake_armed"

2. This will list all devices that can wake up the computer. Find your mouse in the list.

3. "powercfg -devicedisablewake 'name_of_the_mouse_as it appeared_in_the_list' " (include the single quotes)
