I need of a new PSU.....but idk if that could handle a GTX 280 and a 64 X2......

Been considering a 500W PSU....

nvm, not enough PCIE connectors.

PCPartPicker will tell ya if ya put your exact build in.

Finding 7-8 year old parts will be hard on PCPartPicker.

Please consider context when saying to use PCPP as a PSU calculator. They don't have GTX 280 or Athlon X2.

Well, GTX 280 uses slightly less power then 980Ti... aanndd

Should be fine. Also PCIe connectors you can just use molex adapters

Nah, don't trust those Molex adapters.

I'm probably going to buy a Seasonic M12ii 520W Bronze or something.

Want the PSU to last a long time and can handle anything with no sweat.

Molex adapters are fine. Honestly, everyone that hates them only hates them because other people have told them they they're bad, who in tern have been told by other people, and so on. None of these people actually having used one.

I'm currently using four molex connectors to power the two 6-pin PCIe connectors of my G1 970, because I bought my PSU used and didn't get the modular PCIe cables with it. I've had zero issues with power delivery, stability, adapters melting, or my (7-year-old) 550W Antec NeoHE PSU blowing up.

Hmmm, I posted this last Friday http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/420029-newegg-us-27-ar-semi-modular-80-gold-corsair-psu/

but no one ever commented, so I thought there wasn't much interest. It does go on sale regularly though if you look at the pcpartpicker graph. I picked one up for an arcade cabinet project.

But, it says Athlon X2 and you said Athlon X2.  D:  So, ya.  Which one did you mean?

Bubblewhale said 64 X2 lol
