Corsair M45 not tracking and other problems

I purchased a Corsair M45 mouse about 2 weeks ago and after about 3 days it started jumping and not tracking, I have a SteelSeries QcK mousepad which I keep clean so the surface should not be the problem. I returned the first mouse just thinking I got a defective one and received my second one a few days later and then after a few more days the same problems started happening but even worse, it won't track at all, firmware flashes/updates fail when they try and put the mouse into firmware mode and no amount of uninstalling and reinstalling drivers has fixed this. I have tried USB 2 and 3 ports on my motherboard (MSI z87m Gaming). I updated to Windows 10 after returning the first but the mouse still worked first few days and then started having problems. Is my luck just really bad or is there a problem with my PC (All other mice and keyboards worked fine)?

Propably it just doesn't like the mousemat surface, had this problem with many mice with a mousemat of mine.

I don't think that is the problem since I have tried it on other surfaces and it still doesn't work and the firmware updates don't work either.

What can I say, I have this mouse and I have to say it's one of the best I've ever tried. Btw, what surfaces have you used it in? It won't work on polished wood afaik and glass.

Downlaod the driver/firmware package from the Corsair site, install the driver and firmware updater and then update your mouse firmware. Sometimes my M45 does weird things as well like randomly changing DPI without the light changing. Always fixed my problem to reflash the firmware.
