Windows 10 - What bugs have you all found so far

Chaddie

Just curious as to what bugs people have found in the new OS and what 'fixes' they have applied for things or what registry edits have people done to make the new OS better or worse?

One of the things that's bothering me is the way the new universal apps work, I do like them but they don't seem very stable, but it may just be me. I also don't like how you can't spawn multiple instances of the new ImmersiveControlPanel (settings app)

Only bug I have experienced is that the startmenu and rightclick taskbar menus stop working occasionally (once a week). Restarting explorer.exe or the PC fixes it though.

A security update won't work. It errors out every time after it reboots.

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

It often awakes on its own accord from sleep, and it won't allow me to sign into any application requiring a windows account.

I've also had this, I found turning off recently used in the menu settings stopped it from happening.

Interesting, I will disable that. If it works thank you!

I've stumbled upon an issue with the start menu - trying to pin or unpin tiles has started requiring me to log out and back in to my account to work for some reason. Done some googling and there's an issue if you go over 512 apps, but I only have 200...

It often awakes on its own accord from sleep, and it won't allow me to sign into any application requiring a windows account.

Check your device manager, I was having that issue but it turned out one of the "keyboard" devices was actually also my mouse, and any slight twitch in the mouse for any reason (vibration from a window or door closing slightly hard, for example) could cause it to wake the system. I'd make it so only your keyboard can wake your computer, for now.

Also notifications and Skype calls can wake the computer unless you change some settings.

The only issue I had is that all drivers carried over besides audio, my audio messed up upon install but seems to have fixed the issue after I installed a new nVidia driver (I dont use my gfx card for sound?) Maybe it was just the restart, otherwise, the only issue is that microsoft edge is perfect but no adblock ....

Hahahahah! I was honestly so against the idea, but it's honestly bug free, and SO much faster than Chrome, every new page feels as if it's been cached already.

It feels like they're leaving Javascript to render last making it feel faster but I'm sticking to Chrome, it's my baby!

Automatic login when using hotmail account doesn't work, at least not for me.
I used netplwiz and unchecked the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" for my Microsoft account, but Windows tries to login to some account called "marti" and fails. It's really annoying because it means I not only have to type in my password every time my computer has restarted, I also have to change user in the bottom left corner before doing so.

If anyone has the same issue and/or have found a fix please let me know.
