Evga 980 ti classified vs Gigabyte G1 980 ti vs Galax HOF 980 ti

EVGA classified. Better binning for good overclocks, already good boost, backplate, decent coole, looks good.

EVGA Classified for overclocking performance, HOF for looks, G1 for a good balance of both

You should also include some of the Zotac cards as they look great and have great OC

But if I had to choose I would go for the EVGA as the G1 Gaming has had coil whine issues for some customers

The HOF will be pretty nice to have, but it will be hard to  get at some times

Classified is just the kingpin without the flashy stuff on the pcb. I've read the kingpin 980ti gets up to 1539mhz average on air in most cards tested. 8pack is also claiming 980ti hof gets up to 1600mhz on air.

I personally opted in and preordered a 980ti hof from overclockers.co.UK cause I missed out on relisting directly from the website. Plus it's white and less expensive than kingpin.

Remember that there is no quarranty that you will get a good overclocker. And since EVGA charge extra for better OC Chances, i wouldn´t trust their basic models.

The Gigabyte G1 Gaming for excellent cooling, high overclocks and affordable price. It also looks good and is well made.

The Classified for very good cooling and very high overclocks. I love the ACX cooler's simple aesthetics, but it's very expensive.

The HOF for excellent cooling and very high overclocks. Interesting look, but it won't suit every build. Designed for extreme overclocking so don't bother with it unless you intend to push the card to its limits. Stick to the G1, Strix, Gaming 6G, Super Jet Stream, Amp Extreme or SC+ if you're happy with a 1500/8000Mhz overclock.

You mean play the silicon lottery and hope your card gets 1550... like my g1 gaming is doing on air.

I own the EVGA GTX 980Ti Classified and it's amazing, the build quality is outstanding as you would expect. Cant hear any coil whine at all and when the fans spin up they are nice and quiet.

It's luck of the draw, my MSI 980TI can boost it's self to 1394 without even touching anything. Still need to try OC and see what I end up with but I can most likely see an easy 1500mhz core clock with this card.

Its like with any component on a computer, unless you pay a premium extra on top of the price already to ensure a perfect part. Then expect some luck in getting what you need.

Classified if you plan on any overclocking or going underwater, and the main thing is because it has an unlocked voltage, and is 50 USD more than most of the competition, and 20 USD more than their own Superclocked.  I know @Gofspar says go for dat KPE, but I feel like the Classified is much better if you aren't going to go full on LN2 (and the KPE is $120+ more minimum).

Classified also is binned pretty well, I know my ASIC quality on mine is 72% (but Hynix memory), but I've heard people getting higher than that on a classified.  Also dual bios is nice.  Absolutely no coil whine noticeable.

I would get the evga classified because I like the customer support from evga and I personally like the look of the cooler. However it will be harder to find waterblocks for it because it's a non reference card.

So much misinformation on LTT

>complains about misinformation

>doesn't post correct information to ensure people don't continue to be misinformed

@Op if the G1 is significantly cheaper, go with that, if the HOF or Classy is only a few extra bucks, get either one of those, as they have unlocked voltage and are better built IMO.

Classy and HOF cards are both some of the best cards you can get for overclocking, but you run them at stock you will get a damn good life span out of them as well as them looking great. I got my first Classy a month ago and its impressed me enough to get one for maxwell when the time comes.
