Best 144hz 1080 monitor for under $300

H_E_Xy

Looking for a second monitor for my new setup after upgrading from the laptop/ second monitor combination. Was looking for 1440, however since they are quite new it doesn't seem like investing in one with g-sync/freesync soon to become a standard.

Found two options using PcPartPickers nice filter:

Asus VG248QE--  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2HH7G0/?tag=pcpapi-20

AOC G2460PQU--  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HY7PAUC/?tag=pcpapi-20

Although with the year getting closer to an end and the big blackfriday/cyber monday sales looming in the not too distant future, would waiting for more progress on prices and possible improvements to 1440 144hz monitors be worth it?

Thanks!

If the XL2411Z is an option, it is better.

Interesting, and out of curiosity, what is the advantage over the Asus?

acer xb240h.
144hz, 24', 1080, with gsync.
I love mine, I got it for $319usd and would buy it again.
Its a little over budget, but the 19 dollars is worth it lol

Higher frame rate over higher resolution.

Well now I have a few options to look at and consider. I do want G-sync, though the price for them at this moment is near $400 and I don't feel like spending that much this soon after buying all my computer parts. Now to put them all on price alert in PCPP and wait to see if any drop a price which is irresistible...
