So, I've been talking w/ my friends on skype and one of them asked me "Will they stop making games for 1080p? And if they will, when will it happen?"

1080p will always be a thing on PC I'm sure of it.

im pretty sure no one makes games at 1080p

 

game develpers make the particles at high resolution but the games are scaled down to fit our monitors

A Long time... 1080p has been the normal for a while, but it shouldn't happen any time soon, Even on some latest games you still have the option to switch back to 720p so..

in 8 years we will still be able to use 1080

Yo, most games still have options for 800*600 bruv.

 

I don't think it will happen for a very, very long time.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I still play cs:go at 1360x1024 4:3 stretched... That'll take a long time since you can play every existing game even at 800x600

As long as consoles still run games at 900 and 1080. I think 1080 still a real deal until the next gen consoles out (PS5 maybe)

You cant really get rid of a resolution, there is always down-scaling so I dont see it being a problem.
