Audio device keeps plugging in and out?

Bum Hole

I have a really weird issue that I've experienced before.

I just had a fresh install of Windows 10 and everything is running smoothly other than the fact that my speakers are not working.

Every few seconds, it keeps saying that my speakers are connecting and disconnecting.

It doesn't matter even if I have any speakers connected, it is constantly giving me this notification.

Examples can be seen in the following gifs:

These gifs were taken while there was no audio device connected to my computer.

I've had this problem before a couple months ago when I had a fresh install of Windows 7 on my computer. I don't recall what I did in order to fix this problem and get my headphones to work.

It's also worth noting that my computer doesn't detect my headphones when I plug them into my rear or front jack.

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0

Sounds like conflicting drivers. Win10 bug most likely.

The thing is, I've had this issue when I installed Windows 7 on my computer before.

Did you try a different headset and see if it does the same thing? It could be the sound card/mobo faulty or it could be the headset.

It doesn't matter if the headset is connected or not. The problem still persists with no audio device connected.

Must be the mobo then. Did you update the bios?
