you didn't cover anything dont lie xD

All I recall is apples and teeth brushing...and other various sundries

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?

  • New exploit allows attackers take control of an android device remotely by sending them an MMS video

  • With some messaging apps (Hangouts and some others), the user doesn’t even need to open the message for the attack to succeed

  • In other apps, you just have to open it, even if you don’t view the media

  • Switch to a messaging app that doesn’t do any preprocessing of the message and don’t open MMSes from unknown numbers

  • All versions of Android affected, but Google released a patch to OEMs in June, and some manufacturers have pushed that to devices already

  • Google claims that most devices use sandboxes, which make exploitation “more difficult”

  • Researchers estimate that between 20 and 50% of devices will eventually be fixed (so lots won’t), compared to 85% iOS 8 adoption

  • In Q1 2014, 99% of mobile malware targeted Android

Tor is things of past, Here comes Hornet

Source 1: linustechtips.com - tor is things of past here comes hornet OP: Jos

Source 2: http://www.tecdad.com/2015/07/27/hornet-anonymity-network/

  • HORNET -> High-speed Onion Routing at the Network Layer

  • Supports data transfer speeds of up to 93GBps

  • The HORNET hasn’t made it to a large scale for now and is under development and undergoing tests, but won’t be out of reach for long.

  • “instead of keeping state at each relay, connection state (such as onion layer decryption keys) is carried within packet headers, allowing intermediate nodes to quickly forward traffic for large numbers of clients,”

  • HORNET does not keep per-session states or“perform computationally expensive operations for data forwarding,”, a problem with TOR that allows TOR users to be unmasked.

Hey @LinusTech. Nice Wan show. Are you going to upload new office vlog tommorow on vessel?

Would it kill you two to NOT quote a massive post...? Nobody should have to scroll this much, and there's others with smaller monitors too.

I have a 2560x1440 monitor here with a css overlay to make this forum full width and it's still too much fucking scrolling

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

This was probably my favorite WAN Show. I just love listening to stuff like this hence why I watch VLOGs and the new office series. Nice to see how videos which I spend at least 10 minutes a day watching are made.
