What is the best camera setup for 1080p for under $350

Hi! I am not very new to filmography and photography.  I have been both for about 3 years.  Its always been a hobby, but now I want to pick up on it.  My dream camera is the Canon EOS 7d mark II.  I dont exactly have $2000 dollars laying around... but if you have any suggestions please reply!  i figured a tech forum would be the best place to post this.  I was going to post it on the Morgan Freeman Fan Club Forum Page Version 2 but i figured people there didn't know as much as the people here do

1080p video for under $350?  Video only right?

Answer: a camcorder

With any DSLR or primarily photo camera with a video recording feature, you will have to buy additional accessories if you want to get good videos rivaling a camcorder (for your budget range).  Biggest rationale: DSLR's image stabilization do a poor job compared to camcorders when recording videos, if they even function at all.

By the way, a tech forum does not necessarily mean people here know about cameras, you may find more helpful answers on a photography/videography forum.

Unless you are filming while moving, image stabilisation for video is redundant, stick your camera on a fluid head, no stabilisation required at all

A camcorder could be a good way to go, but its very limited in terms of creativity, fixed camera lenses, lack of depth of field control, lack of manual controls etc

If you want something for run and gun video? camcorder could be a good choice

If you want something for planned specific shots with maximum flexibility, a DSLR/Mirrorless is the way to go

Can the OP get all of that for under $350?

Nope but equally just a camcorder is arguably not enough either, for $350 OP can get the camera for that budget and thats about it

D3100 for $360, and a basic fluid head for around $60
