Successor of the G502 anytime soon?

TheConverter

So I'm in the market for a new mouse, and was wondering it there are any rumors for a successor to the Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse?

I'd get a G602. I have one and it's amazing. Been running the current set of batteries for 6 months.

Nobody can notice a difference, so yano...

It's like arguing that there's any difference between 1ms and 5ms monitors.

No, because I have one

But get the G502. If it's better than the one I have, then it must be amazeballs.

Currently typing this on a shitty Logitech MK220 keyboard. Every now and then have to wait nearly 30 seconds because the keyboard doesn't respond.

Why would I want a wireless mouse anyways when my tower is on my desk.

What are you going to say next? That my 144hz monitor is "useless"? I can even feel the difference in inputlag in my monitor compared to the Rog Swift which is TN.

I'm sorry to hear about your keyboard (the G602 has no such issue)

And Wireless mice reduce clutter and mean that you can wheel your chair off to somewhere else in the room and still control it. They are bae once you have a decent one.

What's the point in having a wireless mouse if the keyboard is wired? If you have a wireless keyboard too then I feel sorry for you  ;)

Wireless mice and keyboards are fuckin dumb. Your keyboard never moves and your mouse shouldn't leave your mousepad... Does your mousepad have wheels on it too? lol

Well I use mine when I'm on the couch (my PC is connected to the TV).

But this guy wants me to use while sitting at a desk. I also see a lot of PC Gamers using the wireless xbox 360 controller while at their deks which makes no sense because wired is always less inputlag.

Wireless is amazing. While the keyboard and mouse I use at my desk are wired, My media pc used an HP wireless keyboard and mouse. The freedom to move from the couch to the floor, to the coffee table, to the kitchen table, to my lap is completely worth the barely noticeable input lag.

The G402 and G502 are made for two different purposes.  The G402 is made for FPS gaming whereas the G502 is more of your all-around mouse for gaming.  Either ways, you're going to get a great mouse from a great company (besides some of their keyboards :P)!

Currently roaming the forums in boredom

Before assuming that wireless technology hasn't improved over the few years or so. The whole idea of wireless having input lag is literally out of the way due to the new recievers logitech has been making for the g mice products. G602 has a AM010 that is flawless sensor in tracking.

But why use wireless when you can use wired?

I don't mind one extra cable to the cable mess I have on my desk  :)

Also I doubt a wireless mouse can transfer a mouse moment each 1ms like the G502.

The G303 has the same sensor, is a lot lighter, and has better mouse switches.

Hmm.. would look into it. And it has RGB lighting, which will fit my K95 RGB  :)

Some people travel a lot and like to game on the move. Sometimes wireless is something they want or need. People who have a ton of stuff on there desk might want to have a cordless mouse. Either way the G602 is claimed to be lag free according to cpate. You won't find the input delay like other office wireless mice.

It all really comes down to whether you can deal with the weight and the buttons on the g602. Some people find buttons to be annoying and uncessary on a mice. Some people like there mouse to be under 110 grams compared to the g602 (147g)/(162g) [Depending on whether you put two or one battery in it]

Note that AM010 while being flawless has a low tracking speed of 2.7-3.0 m/s.

Logitech's current line-up of mice is pretty much top-tier, and mice aren't like graphics cards where they will get outgrown in a few years of game development. The G series mice have pretty flawless sensors so they will be fine for a long time. As for recommendations, the 302/303 is a really good claw grip fps mouse, the 402 is a good palm grip fps mouse, and the 502 is a monster in functionality but is a heavy palm grip mouse that isn't as specialized for fps games but can still do the job very well. Just evaluate what you're going to be doing with your mouse and just pick from those.

I have a G303 and it can work either way. It looks extremely uncomfortable, but looks can be deceiving...

You do realise I play on a 144hz monitor with a 980Ti as my signature says  :P. 1000/144 = 6.94ms inputlag. 1000/60 = 16.66ms inputlag.

So if that wireless mouse has a 10ms extra inputlag versus the wired one, my monitor would pretty much lose his value competitively speaking. The G502 has a refreshrate of 1000hz meaning it sends a inputsignal every 1ms.

Anyways guys, I think I will still buy the G502, because it has a nice shape that resembles my current mouse  :P
