The Hangar - FSX Enthusiast Club

AlwaysFSX

Yes I totally ripped that off the car thread, please don't run after me with pitchforks @techswede kthx.

Flightsim-x-largelogo.jpg

We all know why we're here, we spend countless hours flying the skies in FSX.

Welcome.

This is the first dedicated Flight Simulator X thread I've seen here, so hopefully we can get it rolling and gather more members and the days go on. Anything FSX related is welcome, probably P3D too because it's based off FSX.

If you've got any ideas or topics to discuss go ahead and voice them because there's nothing better than friendly discussion!

@User1868 @JustChilling @JefferyEagan @ if you all would like to help start this, here you go. :)

It is about planes, so I guess so. But probably not War Thunder-like stuff like actually playing War Thunder. Just the planes.

Well hey, here's a thread for you! :D I would love to set up some flights with you guys some time, it would be a ton of fun.

I seriously want to get a phase change case, G3258 with one core disabled to 6+GHz, and a 980 Ti.

I remember playing a LOT of flight simulator when I was younger, don't remember the exact version though.

I remember that it had 7-8 installation DVDs lol.

I think FS9 is like 4 disks. Not sure about the others because I got in to it late.

-snips-

I remember you saying in your post about flying the 777 mostly and sometimes the 737? Far too lazy to search for it but yeah... :P How do you feel about flying a multitude of other planes? Or do you just like to fly the few you prefer?

I actually prefer flying the heavy metal. I pull way too hard if I fly a cessna LOL

I sometimes get booked on some Airbus A320/A321 flights but that's about it. I might charter a 747 flight sometimes but the plane's too complicated for my taste.

Yes,but unlike any other games the sim game mode is actually quite good.Tho you don't have to take into consideration weather the rest is quite decent.Full aircraft controls, you have to watch out for stalls,altitude,speed...so yeah.Is hard to config the controls for sim flights but i assume so is the case with fsx.

How close to reality is Fsx in your opinion?

*edit* nope was some older flight sim, im out

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Simulation is a 9, by far the best ive seen

But Graphics is a 4, it could have been better, ive seen better but the simulation balances it out

I prefer the smaller planes because I'm still a terrible pilot even for all the flying I do. Do you do a lot of VATSIM?

I've never flown a plane but from what I've talked to with actual pilots it's "close enough." Take that as you will.

Graphics could be a solid 7-8 if you mod the hell out of it.
