Need Budget Gaming System Help

Hey guys, I'm relatively new here at this forum. 

 

I'm looking for a budget gaming system for around £250 - £300 excluding OS

 

So far I've come across a G3258 and Z97 motherboard and 8gb DDR3 ram. I'm not sure if this is the best combination

 

I was thinking of also adding a 750ti GPU

 

I'm currently looking at www.scan.co.uk as my seller. 

But I'm open to any suggestions.

Sorry to break it to you man, but 300 euros is definitely cheaping out on a computer. Especially if it's going to run games on it. In this case, I would mainly focus on your cpu and gpu. Not sure to what extent you care about looks but if you are looking for a sexy, cheap, and durable case i would go with the nzxt s340. I just built my first pc too and this case is amazing and high quality for the price. And but yeah, if you are going with that price it's definitely a good idea to go on other sites to look around for good prices. In the end, I'm no expert on computers since I just built my first computer for $1,000 USD. In my case, I was originally going to go with a $750 USD build with AMD specs but in the end I just ended up saving my money and doing more research and in the end I'm super glad I did that because right now im currently on an amazing pc that I can feel proud of and show my family and stuff. Well, sorry for not answering the question too much but just look around pcpartpicker to see where cheap prices are available.

thats not bad, im not a fan of the 750TI because i have one now and it has a bunch of problems but that seems to be literaly just my card so maby dont get the MSI OC 750TI, thats my only advice oherwise it looks quite nice, get a aftermarket cooler and OC that CPU to shit and you have something thats not that bad

I would recomend looking at CEX/Gumtree maybe for a used GPU if you can fit it in your budget.

Eh. The list looks good if you are only going to play stuff like csgo and tf2. Other than that, I would strongly recommend you to upgrade to a quad core cpu. Doesn't matter which one, but most games nowadays can only run decently with a quad core cpu. Other than that, the rest looks good if you are trying to stay on a strict budget.

Best i could do and this is not considering and color theme or personal preferences, just cost and performance.

 

1. CPU

3. MOBO
4. PSU
5. RAM
6. Case

this totals to £312 and it doesn't have a mouse, keyboard, speakers and monitor but play around with it and see what you come up with. you could also look for H97 MOBOs rather than z97, it would be cheaper.

 

EDIT: look in the warehouse deals section to see if you find good deals too.

No OC but stronger single core performance. OC g3258 probably not near as good as the i3. Not sure about GTA V though

Whats the difference between a H97 and Z97 

Z97 has more in-depth features than h97, one of which is way better OCing for the CPU, RAM and chipset(no one really uses this nor does it give any really world boost in performance but you can do it) Since you are buying an OCable CPU it would be with to get all the performance you can out of it, hence the z97 MOBO.

You can OC with a H97 but just not as in-depth or as high as with a z97.
