After the firepole thingy i do NOT trust this ..PHOTOSHAPHED!

PS:reviewers get early engineering samples to test it out, so still a few months or weeks apart ..

Details separate people.

Early engineering samples don't always ship in branded boxes though. The fact that it's a shiny, branded box suggests they're pretty close to release.

Normally a brown box that is fairly boring looking..

Yes, because it's colloquial.  You, or at least I, say it's "July 6th", not the "6th of July."  Therefore writing the date, July 6th, 2015, or 7-6-15, makes logical sense.

6th of July is quite normal. Anyway, it would be fine if you just put the year at the other end. As it is, it's like saying 09:08:07 is 8 seconds past 7 minutes past 9 o'clock (or 8 seconds past 9 minutes past 7 o'clock).

6th of July, 2015 is more logical, if you really want to argue about the logic here.

But it isn't colloquial.  Also, that doesn't make it illogical to say July 6th.

Perfectly normal. Anyway, I think I've dragged us off topic a bit much. Can we agree to disagree?

ehm, i cant see a CPU i only see a z170 motherboard box.

And the Z170 chipset will launch coinciding with the Skylake CPUs.

interesting, so according to that table only Cambodia, Namibia, Macau, Malaysia and The United States consider m/d/y or y/d/m short format to be standard, everyone else is d/m/y or y/m/d for the most part, exluding a couple countries that don't care.

I need to ask, why so many people are so hyped about skylake? I'm relatively new so i haven't been through a new Intel release, but, are they really that exciting? And what's so special about skylake? This is the equivalent of the release of the 4770k, and that wasnt very exciting. Is it because broadwell was barely a release so we are getting a tick and tock in some way?

I think it has to do more with extras like more pci lanes and a new chipset than Skylake itself. The new motherboards do look sick!
