PS4 VS ALIENWARE ALPHA

The only game i play on my pc is League of Legends because it can't handle other games. So i want something new and better. Building a cusstom pc is too expensive and i need something portable (divorced parents so two houses :/)

So a ps4 or alienware alpha come are the only ones that will work. I will play on one of them and save up for a nice gaming rig. So what do you guys think? PS4 or Alienware Alpha? Don't say "build a pc yourself". I will pay per month for the system i get.

Alienware Alpha is just a PC.

PS4 is a console.

Please don't get the alpha. You may try to build a mATX or miniITX build if you want and it won't be very expensive (i record a budget of 1000 dollars, or 650 if you want go cheap). But, if you are not bothered and want to play with your friends or play exclusives in the PS4, by all means get. But, hereby I give you a warning. If you are going to get your PS4 as your main gaming device it might not be the perfect solution.

Eh, in your situation I would actually buy a PS4. If you have friends with PS4 that would be optimal.

pretty much all my friends play pc :/

Maybe stick around with your current PC for a while longer while you save up for a better pc?

i only get 60 euro per month i gotta pay pretty much everything myself. Clothes and stuff. So saving up will take like 1,5+ years

If you can afford an alienware alpha (which is nothing but a small pc) you can also afford a better custom built pc. And a ps4 will simply not run league of legends, so if you want to keep playing that a console is out of the picture.

We really do recommend you build your own. It's not hard and you'll end up with a better system overall.

Ah, I hadn't quite understood what you meant. That is portable however, the case is very, very small. Then given your situation I'd say the alienware; games will be a lot cheaper and you won't need to pay again for your internet connection. Get the very base model, the other models only change the cpu which doesn't affect gaming performance too much. You also get to do more with it than just gaming, which will come in handy eventually.

Actually, the base model only has 4GB RAM. Although, you could easily stick more in later for little cost, whenever, of if, you feel it necessary.

For console, I would mostly recommend PS4 or Xbox one. if you interested in steam box? then I just recommend you do a PC build and Install windows (if you could or want to) which to me, give a better value than just buying a steam box

I was going to say, could you not just stick a GPU inside your current PC?

i already have a gpu. gt 730. But this pc is kinda hopeless. It's a dell, so not custom build. Weak psu, no gpu power cable. Lga775 socket. Can only fit 2gb ram in one slot. so 4x2 gb. And it's oem windows. Only thing i can really save is hard drive, which is only 500gb. And the case is not upgrade friendly. So idk, any tips you have for me?

A 730 is not really a GPU :P and OEM windows doesnt effect gaming performance

All you need is a new PSU like the cheeap EVGA ones and a new GPU like a 750ti / 270x etc or similar and you could upgrade the storage

What is the CPU?

why is a geforce gt 730 not a gpu lol. Yes i know but when upgrading oem it might become non-genuine. If i get a 750 ti i wouldn't need a new psu because it doesn't require power. Pentium e5500 2,80ghz lga 775 socket... really bad

I upgraded my Alienware laptop and Clevo both had OEM windows, and they upgraded just fine, OEM is no different to a retail licence as far as upgrades and stuff go

Ok its a GPU but its not considered a Gaming GPU, its part of the GT range, which are for "every day" tasks, the GTX series is like the 750 up which are gaming cards

Some 750tis need a power so be careful there

Mhm not the greatest CPU I suppose

Still, would choose a PC over a PS4 :D

yeah but i don't know how much i should spend. I want to play games like gta v, witcher 3, ac unity, newer ac games, and just want to run new games that come out. I feel like if i go with ps4 i don't have to worry about if i can ru it. If i get a pc for 500 euro, i do.
