Questions about choosing a monitor for Graphic design

yoshiii

Hello

I will be upgrading to a 1440p IPS monitor with sRGB.

I will use the monitor for graphic design, 3D design and rendering, movie editing and gaming.

Will sRGB be good enough for the graphic design, 3D, movie editing part or should I get a monitor with sRGB and Adobe RGB?

A 100% sRGB Panel with a delta E of 5 or less is normally more than okay for most graphical design work.

If you really want the best of the best colour accuracy wise then there are a few monitors (I know Dell has a couple) with a 99% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB and a delta E less than 2, but they will also come with a raised price tag, which most of the time isn't worth it.

As well as the Dells whos name I can't remember (sorry) the Asus Pro Art (PA) line is a great range for precise colour work.

Thank you.

So that means with the 144hz  1440p IPS monitors is probably not good to use because they are made mainly for gaming?

Nah they will still be fine for the vast majority of people, it's still a good IPS display, so no matter what colour accuracy will be good.

The Acer XB270HU, and the Asus MG279Q (The 2 144Hz 1440p IPS displays) both have a 72% NTSC colour gamut, which is equal to a 100% sRGB colour gamut. With a delta E below 3 at all points. So yeah they are still great and have very accurate colour spacing and accuracy.
