Is there any way to mount a monitor/monitors to a wall/desk without a vesa mount?

Depends on your specific monitor but there are always way of doing so like strykeofdesign showed there.

I have this one,  but It's the back version with the display port.

It would be fairly hard to wall mount that, you might be able to take off the base and create a metal mount to hold the monitor:
