Change PSU or wait?

LightCode Gaming
Go to solution Solved by STRMfrmXMN,

So I was recently told of my mistake of getting a Cx500 PSU.

I currently have no problems; no overheating, things running as they shoot, etc.

Should I get a different PSU for cheep (<$50), or should I wait, save a little money, and get one thats ~$100 or so?

Also, what Wattage should I shoot for with my specs?

You within return time of the PSU?

EDIT: Oh, you're on a 960? Keep it, shouldn't be a huge problem.

The 960 uses very little power, so you can afford to wait for a bit, unless your PSU is like three years old.

Are you still within the return period of your purchase at all?

Pretty sure it's more than 30 days past.

Not very old. Maybe 2 months tops.

If I were to switch, what would you recommend? Currently planning on getting a Corsair Air 240 High Airflow and a

Hyper 212 EVO soon.

I don't recommend you switch with a 960 especially if you're getting an Air 240 which has chamber seperation that will keep it cool provided you exhaust the PSU out the side of the case. But if you must then check out the whitelist of mine that @Gale linked :) (it's also in my sig)
