Hello

There is another article saying the ACER X34 will be 100hz

After Linus did a review of the panel saying nothing but good things and the only thing that would be better was GSync I'm pretty sold on on this monitor now.

Yes, it was quite fanboy of him. Saying gsync is better than freesync.

And no mention that about the gsync version being 100hz.

Ya still waiting on him to do reviews on all the Freesync monitors that are out before the g-sync equal as to not show that g-sync is behind now with over a year head start. Hommmmer!

fanboy of gsync or not I'm not getting the freesync version because I already own a nVidia card and not upgrading again for awhile. Whether or not is better doesn't concern me because my eggs are already in the basket. I more so meant that his review of refresh rates being solid, backlight bleed being minimal, colors being really accurate gave me good feeling about the panel being used.

The problem is that it will probably cost ~$1200...

The gsync version IS better. Everyone should get that one... BECAUSE its 100hz, not because it has gsync, while the freesync version is 75hz.

Yeah, I have heard, should I stand outside ACER HQ and demand a monitor, I got University in October, I really want this monitor before I start it.

Yeah I'm going back to Uni mid Sept too, and wanted to get a new ultrawide monitor just as I went back, was hoping the x34 would release just before so I could decide if I wanted it or if I should just get a non g sync one, but looks like that may not be possible now

I would probs cancel the pre order though if it were me, just in case when it finally is released if you have it being sent to your home instead of your term time address it may be a pain to get it up to you at uni? (But you may be able to change the delivery address anyway idk)

My biggest fear with this monitor is BLB... it is being reported on some of the Freesync models already, and we all know what a catastrophic job Acer did with the QC on the XB270HU. I hope this doesn't turn into a panel lottery, but Acer's track record here isn't great, and their after sales support is dreadful by most accounts.

Any word on if the gsync version will have multiple inputs? I want at least 2 HDMI for my DVR and game consoles. I still haven't built my new PC yet, and if this only has 1 DP input it might drive me to just go AMD and get the freesync version.

Intel i7 6700k @ 4.8ghz, NZXT Kraken X61, ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII Hero, (2x8GB) Kingston DDR4 2400, 2x Sapphire Nitro Fury OC+, Thermaltake 1050W

Not sure, ASUS is starting to become terrible at making monitors as well

I got the xb270hu 1 week ago. i have no dead pixels or any noticeable backlightbleed (unless i look for it with black screen and brightness way up in a dark room).

The site i ordered it from has a ''45 days no questions-asked'' return policy. I'm gonna use this screen another month and then definitely order the X34 if it's not slaughtered in reviews.

@dreamhack you only get 83cm of desk-space. this monitor will take up all of that allmost xD.

So hyped about this monitor. If it turns out to be 75hz after all i won't get it though.
