I've gone through so many iterations of this build and have looked at many different aesthetics, but decided upon this list based on aesthetics and usability. Yeah, I know I could save money on just about every part, but whatevs.

So... I guess I'll go through why I chose the parts.

  • I chose the CPU because I wanted to be on the X99 architecture because I want this build to last awhile. It's also 6 cores, which is good for a lot of the content creation things I do.
  • I chose the radiator to go with my NZXT H440.
  • I chose the MSI Krait Edition because it goes with the aesthetic, again, and it's relatively cheap compared to other X99 motherboards on the market.
  • I'm still actually not sure whether I'm going with 4 x 4 or 2 x 8 gig sticks of RAM. I know 4 x 4 is better, but I would like to save more space for RAM later. I use a lot of fucking RAM. I also went with Fury memory cause it's fucking sexy.
  • I chose the Samsung 850 EVO 1TB because I don't like having multiple drives and 1TB is more than enough for now because I don't actually store anything on my computer except games and programs.
  • I chose the Windforce 980 TI because I want something pretty beastly for my 2K monitor. I'm also planning to buy a second one later on to increase the longevity of my computer. I'll also overclock.
  • I chose the H440 because it's aggressive yet elegant with it's awesome corners. It's also mostly metal, so that's nice. Finally, a lot of the build, like the power supply, is covered my metal, which is nice.
  • I chose the RM 850i because it's overpriced, but it's black and white, so heeey.
  • Cablemod cause Linus and sexy.

So that's the list, sorry that the descriptions are really lame, but I'm hella tired. I'll be posting pictures and finally the build. Be sure to follow to see the final product.

The first items are in, the cables.

So the power supply came. I didn't take any awesome shots because it's a power supply, whatever. Here's a pic anyway.

Yup! The SSD and graphics card came today! I decided to go with a 500GB SSD to not break the bank to hard.

Let me just say... I'm so fucking hyped  :D
