Issues with my laptop RAM Help pleaseeeee!

I tried to upgrade the RAM un my 2011 hp g series And bougth one from amazon.com, before i installed the RAM i installed windows 10. After i upgraded the RAM the windows doesnt star completely, the screen gets dark, and I have tried to change to the old ram and nothing changes. Please help, this is my first computer and the first time I tried to upgrade a pc.

Have you checked after you upgraded windows 10 that the computer worked?
