Windows 10 Update for 8.1 Enterprise

Hey guys i have a question,

 

I just updated my laptop to windows 10, it was running a windows 7 home os.

so i was thinking if i could update my desktop the same way.

it is running 8.1 enterprise os and as far as i know there is no free update for that.

am i going to have to buy the version to update my rig? or is there a workaround i can use to install windows 10 on it?

how about the programs i installed on my rig can i use them on win 10 too?

i wouldnt know because i deleted everything on my laptop.

Unless you have Server 2012 at home and some juicy volume licensing packages for Windows 10, that upgrade isn't possible
